home. The headquarters park of the club, Rainbow’s End features a
clubhouse, activity center with pool tables and exercise room, a
swimming pool, WiFi Internet access, laundry, and organized activities.
New since our last visit is a section of RV sites that include phone
hookups.
Woodland
Lakes
RV Park,
Conroe
- This excellent little RV park just north of Houston
is one you are sure to love. The park is super clean, features full
hookup pull thru sites that can accommodate large RVs, cable TV, a nice
laundry room with Internet access and library, a picnic pavilion,
horseshoe pit, and three fishing ponds.
Woodland
Lakes

Houston,
Lake
Conroe, the Astrodome, the
NASA
Space
Center, and the beaches of
Galveston
.
River
View RV Park, Marble Falls
- With 49 full hookup paved level sites on Lake
Marble
Falls, this park is small and friendly. Amenities you will enjoy are cable
TV, a very clean club room and bath house, five boat docks, barbecue
pits, and 750 feet of lakeshore to play on.
El
Campo RV Park, Van Horn
- What it lacks in fancy, El Campo more than makes up for with down
home friendliness. The Recreation
USA
and Passport
America
affiliated park has 48 full hookup sites that can accommodate any size
RV, 50 amp service, cable TV, restrooms and showers, and modem access.
Located just off Interstate 10, this is a good place to stop overnight.
Thousand
Trails Colorado River Preserve, Columbus,
Texas: This membership park has over 125 full and
partial hookup sites, an activity center, pool, hot tub, and lots of
wide open spaces. A huge herd of deer live here also and are frequent
visitors to the campsites.
Serendipity
Bay
Resort, Palacios,
Texas
- There are a couple of smaller RV parks in Palacios, but this is the one
we would choose for a stay. The park features waterfront RV sites, a
rally hall, rec hall, pool, and free wireless internet.
Western
Horizons
Bay
View Resort, Rockport,Texas
- This membership park features 228 full hookup RV
sites with cable TV, a lake, pool,
hot tub, activity center, and sauna. Interior roads are bumpy and need
some work.
Ancient
Oaks RV Park,
Rockport
,
Texas
- We liked this park the moment we pulled in. It just had a
comfortable, welcome feeling to it. The staff is very friendly, the park
is covered with beautiful wind-sculpted oak trees, and there are plenty
of amenities, including pull-thru full hookup sites with cable TV, a
heated pool, large laundry room, fishing pond, wireless internet, and a
rec room.
Sandollar
Resort,
Rockport
,
Texas
- This is the kind of friendly RV park where we could enjoy spending
a month or two. The park is clean and comfortable, convenient to the
waterfront, and has every amenity you could ask for. Reserve early,
because they have a 95% return rate and fill up fast.
Watersedge
RV Park,
Rockport
,
Texas
- Located right across the road from
Aransas
Bay
, with its own fishing pier, this is a friendly RV park where you will
pay a bit more than other local parks because of convenience. The sites
are all full hookups on concrete, and are pretty close together compared
to other area parks we have visited. It’s like they say in real estate
- location, location, location.
Tropic
Island
Resort, Port Aransas,
Texas
- This is a friendly park featuring full hookups, paved streets, 30 and 50
amp RV sites, cable TV, a swimming pool and hot tub. The sites may be a
bit tight for larger RVs.
Marina
Beach RV Resort, Port Aransas,
Texas
- We liked this friendly park, with its large concrete RV sites, large rec
hall, pool, and clean restrooms.

- With 365 full hookup RV sites, a boardwalk to the beach, two swimming
pools, hot tub, rec hall, laundromat, and store, this park has
everything you need for a comfortable stay on the Gulf coast.
